Research shows that children benefit from good quality early childhood care and education.

What is the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Programme? 

The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Programme gives your child two free full years at preschool before they start their primary education.  Your child needs to be a specific age to join the ECCE programme.  Click here to see when your child is eligible for the ECCE free preschool place.

What is my child needs additional support? 

Some children need extra help to make sure they get the most from the ECCE programme.  The Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) works with preschool providers to ensure that every child can benefit from ECCE and quality early years care and education including those with additional needs.
